David Game College Study Programs

David Game College offers a wide range of programmes and subjects to prepare students for entry to leading British universities. With flexibility and an individual approach to students, almost every course can be tailored to the needs of a particular student.

GCSE

As part of the one- or two-year IGCSE/GCSE course, students over the age of 14 study five or more subjects per year, followed by examinations and the General Certificate of Secondary Education.

Depending on their academic preferences, students can choose from the following subjects:

  • English as a first or additional language;
  • English Literature;
  • Arabic, Spanish, Russian, French;
  • business, economics;
  • informatics and computers;
  • higher mathematics, physics;
  • biology, geography, history;
  • design and art;
  • religious studies.

AS level and A-level

A-level is a two-year course that prepares students for university entrance who have completed GCSE or equivalent qualifications. In particular, overseas applicants must provide a certificate of complete secondary education.

As part of the A-level programme, students study three or four subjects during the first year of AS level and, if they wish, take exams. In the second year of study, the course involves studying three core subjects and mandatory final exams.

The college offers a choice of 25 subjects, including:

  • business, accounting, economics;
  • English Literature;
  • computer science;
  • exact and natural sciences;
  • modern languages;
  • music, music technology;
  • art and design (drawing, photography, textile design);
  • philosophy, political science, psychology, history, geography and others.

For students who have completed GCSE or equivalent qualifications and have previously studied AS or A-level/IB programmes and want to improve their grades, intensive 12 or 18 month A-level programmes are available.

University Foundation Programme (UFP)

A one-year programme aimed at:

  • adaptation of students to the peculiarities of the British educational system;
  • studying basic subjects for a future specialty;
  • smooth transition to studying at top UK universities.

The program has been running since 1989 and is recognized as one of the most successful in the UK. It is recognized by 98 British universities, as well as American, Canadian, Dutch, and Australian universities. However, the program does not allow you to enter Oxbridge or study at other universities in such areas as medicine, veterinary science, and dentistry, since in these cases three top grades in three A-level subjects are required.

UFP will be the best solution for applicants who do not want to spend two years on A-level, but have a GCSE certificate or equivalent qualification.

The program includes six modules - three compulsory and three optional. Also, during the training, students work on creating a course project. Upon admission, students choose a suitable direction:

  • law, humanities and social sciences;
  • Pharmacy and medical sciences;
  • engineering and IT;
  • business and finance;
  • architecture, art and design;
  • language training programs (Kensington Academy of English).

Medical & Life Sciences Programme

This unique programme prepares students for entry into the most competitive fields of study. It combines:

  • A-level;
  • specialized seminars;
  • trainings with the participation of authoritative scientists and practicing doctors;
  • opportunity for an internship in the healthcare field.

The College accepts into the program only those students who, in the opinion of the admissions committee, have a realistic chance of admission to highly competitive departments.
