Training programs in FLS International numerous and varied. They are designed for 18 levels, from beginner to advanced. Each new student passes a test upon admission, which determines the degree of proficiency in English. This allows teachers to select the appropriate group and draw up the most optimal training plan.

All programs FLS International includes «basic English» training, which aims to develop four core skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Also depending on the course, classes may include
  • elective classes (on a specific topic or skill (slang, business language, American culture, public speaking, composition, etc);
  • preparation for the TOEFL, SAT or IELTS language tests;
  • laboratory workshops (pronunciation production, talk clubs, homework assistance, etc)

Each week, the school holds events to help learn how to use English in the new setting. FLS International also organizes numerous free entertainment events for its students.

FLS located on the Chestnut Hill College campus in northwest Philadelphia. The college covers an area of 75 acres. The university's very beautiful campus includes several stunning Gothic structures such as the chapel or St. Joseph Hall, as well as new modern educational and residential buildings, a football field, tennis courts, etc. FLS students have access to the college library, computer labs, and recreation rooms.

Philadelphia – is a modern, energetic metropolis in which city guests can find many historical attractions (for example, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell), as well as world-class museums, new theaters, exhibitions, restaurants, etc.

Training programs FLS International

Lesson duration: 50 minutes.
Number of students per class: maximum 15 people.
Minimum age of students: from 15 years.

Academic English. Includes 36 lessons per week: 18 basic English + 6 test preparation classes + 6 electives + 6 training seminars. This is a strong program that is suitable for students who are planning to enroll in US universities.
Cost – $510/week.

Intensive English. Includes 30 lessons per week: 18 basic English + 6 elective courses + 6 academic seminars. This is the most popular program that offers an integrated approach to language learning.
Cost – $500/week.

General English. Includes 24 lessons per week: 18 basic English + 6 training seminars. The program is prescribed using the latest informal techniques, which make it possible to quickly raise the level of knowledge of English.
Cost – $430/week.

English for vacation. Includes 18 basic English lessons per week. This is the simplest course that provides an opportunity to improve the level of English and leave time for walks and sightseeing.
Cost - $395/week.

Preparation for TOEFL. Includes 36 lessons per week: 18 basic English + 12 test preparation classes + 6 academic seminars. This is one of the most popular programs, since to enter many universities in the country you need a certificate of passing this test, and with a high score. Accredited teachers will help you prepare well for the test, talk about methods and approaches to performing the test, and provide all the necessary knowledge. Only students with a level of 9 or higher can complete the program.
Cost - $510/week.

Preparing for IELTS. Includes 36 lessons per week: 18 basic language + 12 test preparation + 6 academic seminars. IELTS – is the most popular international exam, the results of which are accepted by universities around the world. The FLS program will help you improve your level of all basic language skills, as well as learn about strategies and methods for successfully passing the test. This course is only available to students with a level of 9 or more.
Cost - $510/week.

Students can also take individual classes. Cost - $60/lesson.

A special three-week tour from the school called Model G20 Camp allows you to combine language learning with classes in finance, management, public speaking, etc. Classes are taught by professors – experts in the field of international relations from Chestnut Hill College.

FLS International Center in Philadelphia offers students the «English + Volunteering» program. This is a great way to practice the language in English-speaking society and gain unforgettable experience working in public organizations in the city.

Accommodation

FLS School students can choose from two residential options:

In the host family – is a good way to learn everything about American life, the social characteristics and culture of ordinary US residents. Guests can practice English throughout the day by interacting with neighbors and hosts.
Cost:
room for two + 16 lunches per week - $225/week;
room for one +16 lunches per week - $275/week.

In the college dormitory. Chestnut Hill College offers safe, modern dormitories with all amenities. Students can also use a lounge area with a TV and a playroom.
Cost: room for two + 19 lunches per week - $350/week.
