Kings Center in Los Angeles located near Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The modern beautiful building has excellent learning conditions: large bright classrooms, interactive whiteboards, modern computers and equipment for film production, free access to Wi-Fi, a kitchen and vending machines make the center a very convenient and pleasant place.

Training programmes include 18 levels of training. Upon admission, the student takes a test that helps determine the appropriate group and develop an individual lesson plan.

All programs include levels in basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. In addition, there are a number of specialized interest courses that the student chooses himself. Kings offers a very wide range of topics for these lessons: basic skills, group discussions, American culture, music, film and TV, pronunciation, English for work, marketing and digital media, reading and writing, academic language, etc.

Los Angeles is very attractive for its warmth and bright sun, relaxed lifestyle and Hollywood glamor. The college is located a three-minute walk from the famous «Walk of Fame», and there are also famous theme parks nearby: Disneyland, Six Flags, Berry Farm.

Intensive course: 28 lessons per week (20 general English + 8 lessons in specialized groups). This is the most popular program that allows you to achieve fluent use of the language in a short time. In addition to training in basic language skills, students gain knowledge in a narrow special area of their choice. For more than 12 weeks of training, Kings additionally includes up to 4 tutored lessons per week.

Intensive English 25+: 28 lessons per week (20 common language lessons + 8 specialized interest classes). This program is designed for students 25 years of age and older who seek to raise the level of their common language and develop special skills through specialized lessons. The programme offers an integrated approach to developing the basic skills that are essential for using English at work and for personal use. Students gain international communication skills, including reading newspapers, writing letters, group methods, etc.

Preparing for Cambridge English B2 First: 28 lessons per week (20 common language + 8 B2 lessons or 28 lessons focused only on preparing for the B2 First exam). Cambridge English B2 First – is the highest level qualification in English. The results of this test are accepted by both universities and commercial organizations around the world.

English 25+ holidays: 20 general English lessons per week. This course is designed for pupils aged 25 and over who want to improve their language proficiency. It is optimal for professionals, tourists, and active city residents.

Preparing for Cambridge English C1 Advanced: 28 classes per week (20 in the common language + 8 in preparation for the test or all 28 lessons in preparation for the test). The Cambridge English C1 Advanced exam confirms an advanced level of English language proficiency. Its results are accepted by all organizations in the world, both educational and business. Candidates take tests in all four basic skills, receive a grade in each of them and an overall score.

Preparing for TOEFL iBT: 35 lessons per week (20 classes with a TOEFL skills and strategies teacher, 8 classes with a tutor, 7 online lessons). Students gain access to practical tests and online exercises that help them train for the test.

Accommodation

Kings Center offers its students several accommodation options in Los Angeles:

In the host family: students stay with trusted and selected families who provide a warm welcome to their guests. Residents are provided with single or double rooms (if the couple arrived together) with furniture and everything necessary for a comfortable life. They also get access to the Internet, 1 wash per week, breakfast and dinner every day.
Off-season cost: room for one - $352.
Cost per season: room one - $388; room for two - $326.

In residences:

Cassil Campus Residence – is located on the Kings – Los Angeles campus next to the academic building. Residents are provided with double rooms, as well as common lounges, a kitchen, laundry, bed linen, and free Wi-Fi. No food.

Apartment La Mirada – are located near Santa Monica Boulevard (15 minutes to the academic building). Residents are provided with comfortable rooms with a private kitchen and bathroom, free Wi-Fi. La Mirada includes a 2-room residential block and bungalow-style studios that can accommodate 1 or 2 people and an outdoor patio for common use. No food.

Emerson Residence – is a summer residence located in the heart of Hollywood on Sunset Boulevard. The educational building is – 20 minutes walk away. Residents are provided with comfortable single or double rooms with a shared bathroom (maximum for 6 people), kitchen and dining area, laundry. Students can also use a fitness room and yoga studio, bed linen, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. No food.
Minimum age – 18 years.
