Manhattan Language – is an accredited language school located in the heart of New York. Manhattan Language has been operating since 2000 and offers its students a unique method of learning English, built on live communication in the real world.

Feature of training in Manhattan Language consists of a communicative approach – students speak English from the first day of study. The interactive pleasant atmosphere promotes rapid progress and produces excellent results. Strong academic programs and an elaborate curriculum develop all the necessary skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. An integrated approach allows you to develop very quickly, regardless of whether you are learning English just for communication, or whether it is required for study or work.

Manhattan Language gathered the best professional teachers with many years of experience in teaching ESL. Many of them worked in other countries, helping young people and adults learn English. The school also has a staff of office employees who, from the first day, help students, conduct orientation lectures, consultations, and organize various events in the city.

The school is located in a beautiful modern building located a few steps from Wall Street, the seaport, and the Brooklyn Post. The building offers stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and the world's most famous city. There are numerous restaurants, shops around, and students can walk to Broadway, Time Square, Fifth Avenue and other famous places in New York.

Training programs Manhattan Language

All training programs are designed for 10 levels. Upon admission, each student passes a test showing at what level he speaks the language. This allows you to build a further lesson plan optimally for everyone. You can start classes any Monday and choose any number of weeks you want.

Manhattan Language offers a choice of one of four main American English programs:

Standard program – 24 lessons per week. Suitable for students with F-1 visa. Students take classes that aim to develop all aspects of foreign language proficiency:
  • Speaking and Listening: develops speaking and listening skills through live communication, role-playing games, debates, etc.
  • Integrated Skills: develops reading and writing skills.
Cost - $395/week.

For tourists - 20 lessons a week. This is a standard program that is suitable for students with a tourist visa. It includes classes in the same two areas:
  • Speaking and Listening;
  • Integrated Skills.
Cost - $395/week.

Intensive program – 32 lessons per week. Suitable for students with F-1 visa. It includes three types of classes:
  • Speaking and Listening;
  • Integrated Skills;
  • Signature Elective – lessons on highly specialized topics. You can choose to learn business or academic language, learn English through movies, and have additional lessons in spoken language or pronunciation.
Cost - $430/week.

Preparing for TOEFL – 20/24 lessons per week. Suitable for students with F-1 visa. The full program lasts 12 weeks. This is an advanced class in which students undergo intensive training in reading, listening, writing, and speaking, which will be useful during the test. They also gain additional useful skills (the ability to take notes, replenish vocabulary, time management skills, etc.) During their studies, students take 6 full training tests.
Cost - $1500/4 weeks.

Preparing for IELTS – is a course aimed at passing an international exam, the results of which are accepted by more than 3 thousand universities in the USA and other countries of the world. It can be completed by students with knowledge of the language at level B2 (medium) or C1 (advanced). The program is quite complex and dynamic. The main emphasis is on improving English skills and learning exam methods. Students will become familiar with the strategies and skills that will be required to pass the IELTS, and will actively develop writing and reading skills, as well as spoken English and listening.
Cost - $375/week.

Business English for Professionals – is a course that is created for those who want to work effectively and develop a career in English-speaking countries. The program is suitable for students with a high level of language proficiency. It includes training in a number of basic skills that will be required in the business sector: negotiating, meeting, making presentations, writing business letters, etc. Students receive an extensive vocabulary and learn business idioms and expressions from the financial sector, personnel management, and marketing. Real conditions are created for students in which they can practice the acquired knowledge.
Cost: $490/5 lessons, $880/10 lessons.

Academic English Training. Includes reading, writing, speaking and listening lessons that will be needed for full university or college education.

English through films. Helps improve vocabulary, understanding of the country's language and culture by watching and discussing classic American films.

Spoken language and pronunciation. Classes aim to make the student's speech clear and precise, learn useful vocabulary, and gain confidence during live communication.

Individual lessons

IN Manhattan Language you can use the services of a personal tutor. In this case, the program is compiled personally for each student depending on his goals and level of language proficiency.

Individual classes will help you learn English as quickly and fully as possible, and the student will have the opportunity to combine them with work, study or other personal activities.
Individual lesson duration – 45 minutes.
The student can choose a package for 5 or 10 classes.

Accommodation

Manhattan Language offers its students accommodation in host families. This is a great opportunity to practice English daily and also gain experience living in an American family.

Single or double rooms are available to choose from. Bed linen and towels are included, as well as Wi-Fi and breakfast. You can also get dinner for a fee.

Students are offered a choice of class accommodation:
  • standard (with shared bath);
  • premium (with private bathroom and additional amenities such as private entrance or kitchenette).

The cost of living also depends on the area in which the housing is located:

In Manhattan:
  • standard single: south of 110 th St - $520/week, north of 110 th St - $410/week;
  • premium Single: South 110th St - $750/week, North 110th St - $525/week.

In Brooklyn, Queens, Jersey City, Hoboken, Staten Island:
  • standard single - $350/week;
  • standard single with dinner – $445/week;
  • premium Single – $525/week;
  • premium single with dinner - $600/week.

Any accommodation option will be subject to a $150 accommodation fee.
