North Broward Preparatory School is one of the strongest educational institutions in Florida. This high school offers advanced programs to children ages 3 to 18 in small classes (up to 16 students).

The 80-acre campus is designed in a college-style setting. It is located in Coconut Creek and includes many outdoor experiential spaces (e.g., hydroponic garden, apiary, etc.) It provides an ideal environment for students' all-around development. They have access to 10 music studios, 4 visual arts studios, 3 media labs, a STEAM room (for the younger grades), a specialized robotics room, a global wellness center, gyms, fitness studios, soccer field, lacrosse field, tennis courts, swimming pool and many other facilities.

The school has a brilliant faculty, with almost all teachers holding advanced degrees in their field.

The Junior High School provides a supportive environment where children learn by doing. They can explore the performing arts, STEAM, and athletics programs. Kids are encouraged to "do hard things" and are given the opportunity to make a difference in the world through student-driven service projects.

Emphasis is placed on the cognitive, creative, social, and physical development of each child.

The core curriculum includes: multi-genre reading, diction, writing, math, social studies, science, foreign language, and technology instruction. Developmental activities and extracurricular programs are implemented in all areas, including dance, music lessons, cooking and gardening.

The uniqueness of the lessons include:

  • multi-genre reading;language arts;
  • learning Chinese;
  • technology exploration - each student learns how to strategically use their iPad;
  • art lessons in collaboration with The Juilliard School.

North Broward Prep Elementary School

North Broward Prep, a private elementary school in Broward County called North Broward Prep's "junior high" is based on a nurturing environment and an "aspirational" approach to education for grades one through five.

Students develop higher-level thinking and have an outstanding learning experience through the elementary school curriculum with additional activities including a special STEAM lab, weekly art and music classes, dance, tennis, speech and debate, cooking, and science exploration.

What makes Junior School grades 1-5 special:

  • starting in the lower grades, children learn Chinese;
  • visual arts allows students to become bold creators and delve deeper into the arts, allowing them to understand the importance of creative problem solving;

North Broward Prep High School

From grades 6 through 8, middle school students learn the skills they will need to succeed in high school. There are several features that make NBPS High School one of the best private high schools in South Florida:

  • A rigorous college preparatory academic program tailored to meet the needs of all students;
  • experienced teachers who know how to motivate, inspire, and support middle school-aged students;
  • more than 50 electives to choose from;
  • extracurricular competitive and full-time athletic programs;
  • academically strong students can access middle school level courses;

This is one of two outstanding Apple schools in South Florida where educational technology is integrated throughout the curriculum.

Basic subjects:

  • Math (fundamentals, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and geometry);

Boarding school

North Broward Prep has its own boarding school for children in grades 6 through 12. Children from 33 countries live in the modern village. They receive quality care and nurturing as well as ideal conditions for an active social life, learning and creativity.

There are 10 adult staff members on the boarding school grounds at all times, who are available around the clock. They provide support, help and care to the pupils.

Children are accommodated in modern single and double rooms. Activities are planned for them every weekend, as well as trips for spring and fall break.

Children receive a full three meals a day. There is also a kitchenette, vending machines, laundry facilities, snack bars, etc. in the common areas.

Cost of training

Tuition for 2024-2025 is:

  • Pre-K - $28,750;
  • Kindergarten - $30,200;
  • Junior high school (grades 1 through 5) - $34,200;
  • middle school (grades 6 through 8) - $36,800;
  • middle school (grades 9 through 12) - $40,900.
