Oswestry School

Oswestry School is a private, historic boarding school for pupils in the ancient town of Oswestry, on the border of England and Wales. The school is a true traditional boarding school and prides itself on its traditional approach to education. The school, dating back to the early 15th century, is one of the oldest in England.

Oswestry is a small, leafy town with a population of around 16,000 and 3,000 years of history. Among the town’s attractions are the ruins of an Iron Age settlement, as well as Whittington Castle and the Cambrian Railway Museum, located near the former railway station.

International students: You can start studying at the school from the age of 16 (in 12-13 years).

Among the advantages of the school is the 30-hectare campus, on the territory of which there is a football pitch, an indoor heated swimming pool, a gym, a tennis court, netball courts, and cricket pitches.

Accommodation

Students live in the school residence. The school has 3 residences: 1 residence for girls Guinevere House and 2 residences for boys School House and Holbache House.

Guinevere House: girls live 3-4 people in a room. The residence has a kitchen, a common room and a computer room.

School House: boys live 2 or 4 people in a room. The residence has a kitchen, a common room, a games room and a computer room.

Holbache House: boys live 1 or 2 people in a room (senior students are usually placed in single rooms). The residence has a kitchen and a common room.
