Seattle Central College

Founded in 1966, Seattle Central Community College is the only community college located in Downtown Seattle, in the Capitol neighborhood. Seattle – is a beautiful and very safe city surrounded by mountains, forests, lakes and the sea, which regularly appears on the list of the most favorable cities for living in the United States. It will only take you 15 minutes to walk to the city center, where business and tourist life is in full swing.

Each year, the college welcomes approximately 10,000 American students and 2,000 international students from more than 70 countries. The New York Times ranked the college among the top 11 in university transfer programs and also named it college of the year.

Accommodation

Residence. The college offers on-campus accommodation for its students - Studios on Broadway. Students must be at least 17 years of age at the time of check-in. The college's residence has 28 apartments that can accommodate up to 79 students. Students live 2, 3 and 4 people per room. All rooms are furnished with beds, tables, chairs and include a private bathroom and kitchen.

9 months' stay per person:

  • 2 people per room - $11,045
  • 3 people per room - $8,975
  • 4 people per room - $8,370

The cost does not include student meals. Each room is equipped with a kitchen where students can cook food.

Host family. This option is suitable for students under 18 years of age. All host families live 30-40 minutes from college. The price includes food, laundry and all payments. The Internet can be paid additionally.

Associate degree – transfer program – popular 2+2 program of study with further university admission. High school compilation program

High school compilation program – intensive training program aimed at 10th grade graduates of foreign schools. This program allows you to obtain a certificate of completed secondary education from the state of Washington, as well as an associate degree in your chosen field in just 2 years. English level for the program: IELTS 5.5 /TOEFL IBT 68+

College Bridge – program of study for students with insufficient English levels, during which students intensively study the language and take out individual college loans. This program allows you to improve your English and waste no time getting college loans. When a student reaches the required level, he switches to a regular training program.
Minimum English level: IELTS 5.0/TOEGL IBT 52+

Intensive English – for students with an English language level below IELTS 5.0 /TOEGL IBT 52 there is an opportunity to start their studies with English language courses. Once the required level is reached, the student will be able to continue their studies in academic programs at the college. It usually takes 10 weeks to complete one level.
