Sevenoaks School

Sevenoaks School is a prestigious British co-educational school that offers day and boarding. The modern 100-acre campus is located in the picturesque countryside of Kent. The school is just half an hour away from the centre of the UK capital and Gatwick International Airport.

The history of the school dates back to 1432, making it one of the oldest in the UK. Today, it has over 1,100 students from 45 countries. About a third of them are boarders, the rest are full-time students.

Sevenoaks School is the first British school to completely stop offering A-levels and has been preparing students for university entrance under the International Baccalaureate programme since 1978.

A unique programme that combines the key benefits of GCSE, IGCSE and SSC. As part of their education, students study compulsory general education subjects and a range of additional courses that match their academic interests.

In Year 9, students will be introduced to a wide range of subjects, including English language and literature, several modern foreign languages ​​and Latin, geography, history, classical civilization, natural and exact sciences, and art. Thanks to serious general preparation, it will be easier for students to consciously choose subjects to study in Years 10-11.

In addition to basic humanities and exact sciences, and art, Year 10 and 11 courses include electives and disciplines aimed at developing critical thinking. These include Critical Perspectives (Year 10) and 10 Ideas That Changed the World (Year 11).

International Baccalaureate

The IB preparation program is the gold standard in international Sixth Form education, providing competitive preparation for admission to the world's top universities.

Before starting their studies, students are offered to choose three groups of subjects for in-depth study (Higher Level) and three for regular study (Standard Level). The available disciplines include:

  • English language and a course in English literature, including works from world literature, with possible additional study of theatre arts;
  • languages, both modern and ancient (Latin, classical Greek);
  • man and society (economics, geography, history, classical civilizations, philosophy, psychology);
  • experimental sciences (biology, chemistry, physics);

  • Music lessons - £29.00 per 30 minute lesson. Instrument hire is £153.00/year;
