Sheridan College was founded in 1967 and now is one of the leading educational institutions in Canada. The college is known by its applied programs, combining theory and practical training for preparing students for further career in fine arts and applied arts, business, communications, information technology, digital media, engineering, social and technical specialties. The number of students studying on three campuses of Sheridan (Brampton, Oakville and Mississauga) is over 17 000 students. The most ranking college programs are animation and design. The college is highly selective especially for creative specialties, where students shall submit a portfolio and additional tests and exams.
