Sidcot School Education Programs

Programme of Study - One Year IGCSE - Year 11 Pathway

GCSEs are usually taken over two years, but the special Year 11 Pathway programme allows students to take between five and seven IGCSEs in just one year.

This means that in one year they will have achieved the minimum entry requirements needed to go on to study the IB Diploma or A Levels.

The Year 11 Pathway programme has been specially designed with a wide range of subjects, allowing students to take the next step. Throughout the year, the school helps students choose the right subjects for Year 12 and choose between the IB Diploma or A Levels, so that their chosen path leads them to their chosen university degree.

Sixth form (ALevel) Programme of Study

The school offers specialised two-year courses to prepare them for university entrance, with a strong emphasis on independent study. The essence of the programme is the in-depth study of subjects chosen by the student independently in accordance with personal academic preferences and future specialisation.

Sidcot offers 23 subjects at Sixth form (A-level).
