The University of Sheffield is a TEF Silver Award winner and has won four Queen's Anniversary Prizes in 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2007. The university also occupies a respectable place in world and national rankings:

The campus occupies a large area and provides students with everything they need for study, life and entertainment. The highlight of the campus is the new Diamond building - a multidisciplinary learning center that houses 9 lecture halls, more than 2,500 classrooms, a library, IT services, control rooms and mechanical workshops, a virtual reality room, etc.
There are also many beautiful unique buildings on the territory, mainly in the south-west part of Sheffield: Arts Tower, First Court, ICOSS Building, Sir Frederick Mappin Building, Information Commons.
Students can use five libraries, as well as computer rooms, sports facilities, and dormitories. Students of the university can have a great time in clubs, a theater, bars and cafes, a cinema and other cultural and entertainment facilities on campus or beyond.
The university has more than 400 student clubs and sports teams.
