Woodstock Academy

Woodstock Academy іs a private boarding school in Woodstock, Connecticut. The place where the school is located is also called «Quiet Corner», since it is a small quiet green town located between New York and Boston. By the way, it’s only an hour and a half drive to Boston. The school is over 100 years old, but the boarding school option did not appear until 2009, and the school has since accepted international students (mostly from Western Europe, East Asia and Central Africa). But most of the school's – students are Americans, while only 9% are international students. In total, the school has about 1000 students (9 – 12th grade).

The school also has its own choir, drummer group and jazz group, as well as its own theater troupe. The school's musical groups participate in festivals such as: Berklee Jazz Band Festival, Honor Musicians at Carnigie Hall, Quinnebaug Valley Music Festival, All New England Band Festival, All New England Music Festival, Connecticut Music Educators Association All-State Festival, Connecticut Music Educators Association Eastern Regional Music Festival, American Choral Directors Association Honor's Choir, and American Choral Directors Association Eastern Division Festival

At school Woodstock Academy it also has its own radio, and publishes its own magazine, The Gleaner, student newspaper «The Centaurian», and literary magazine «From the Deep End», in which students publish their works of art.

The school also hosts an annual essay competition among students («Annual Robertson Essay contest»), the winner of which receives a monetary reward.

Pupils reside either in the school's residence or in host families who reside near the school.

Accommodation in the residence is available from grade 9.
