Yale University

Yale University, founded in 1701, with one of the most beautiful architectural structures in the world - from Gothic to Gregorian, colonial to modern - has one magnificent campus, and Yale University's admissions office maintains its reputation as one of the most selective universities in the world. Yale has approximately 5,300 undergraduate students and 6,000 graduate students.

Yale University located in New Haven, Connecticut, about 1.5 hours in any direction from Boston and New York, making it an exciting place to explore the surrounding area.

Yale University known, among other things, for its resident colleges.

Yale it does not have a core curriculum, but students must take three courses in four different academic fields, including language and literature, social sciences, humanities and mathematics. Of more than 65 faculties and programs to choose from, Yale offers more than 2,000 undergraduate courses in disciplines such as computer science, engineering, humanities, mathematics, natural sciences and social sciences.

Yale's twelve residential colleges make it unique among Ivy League institutions. These residential colleges are so important to life in Yale that when one graduate meets another, one of the first questions they ask each other is which residential college they belonged to. Residential colleges have their own dormitories, canteens, libraries, cinemas, studios, gyms and courtyards, which serve as a center of cultural, sports and social life. When students join a full-time athletic team, they play for their college. From Football to Ultimate Frisbee Yale each college has over 30 sports.

In the evenings Yale transforms dining rooms into an orchestra, jazz with chapels, political debates, theatrical performances or quiet poetry readings. The master and dean of each residential college are professors who live at this college, dine with students and serve as counselors. Each college has its own master's teas, with prominent figures from politics, science, journalism, visual or performing arts, or the business world as guest guests. If you were absent from class due to illness or a specific situation and need an additional task, you will receive a note not from mom or dad, but from your dean.

Yale boasts notable alumni who have included U.S. presidents and vice presidents, foreign prime ministers, governors, Supreme Court justices, ambassadors, senators, inventors, Nobel laureates, Pullicer Prize winners, university presidents, athletes, entertainers, and those who left a mark on medicine, scientific research, art and technology.

Total acceptance rate in Yale University amounted to 5.9%. A total of 36,843 students applied. Yale University admitted 2,178 students to the first year of undergraduate studies.
