The INTO center operates on the university campus and provides students with everything they may need for successful studies and comfortable living. Students can study in the Learning Resource Center, scientific and information laboratories, and the library. The campus also has a sports park, galleries, cafes, and many other facilities that allow you to have fun and make student life unforgettable.

Training programs

At the INTO centre you can choose one of four preparatory courses:

1. Newton A level Programme – the course includes the study of scientific disciplines, mathematics, economics, in order to subsequently enter one of the leading universities in Great Britain. The minimum duration is 5 or 6 semesters. Classes are held in small classes – up to 14 people and take at least 20 hours a week.

You can choose courses in three specialties:
  • Science and medicine;
  • Engineering and Mathematics;
  • Economics, business and actuarial sciences.

2. International Foundation – a course for the transition to the 1st year of a bachelor's degree at the University of East Anglia. It is designed for 3 or 4 semesters. It is possible to study in the following areas:

  • Business, economics, sociology and culture;
  • Humanities and Law;
  • Mathematics and actuarial sciences;
  • Pharmaceuticals, Health and Life Sciences;
  • Physics and engineering.

3. International Year One – a course that will allow you to enter the 2nd year of a bachelor's degree at a university. It is designed for 3 or 4 semesters. Training is conducted in three areas:

  • Business and economic management;
  • International Development and Media;
  • Psychology.

4. International Graduate Diploma – successful completion of this program will allow you to enter the postgraduate program at the University of East Anglia. The course is designed for 3 or 4 semesters. Training is provided in the following areas:

  • Business;
  • Economics;
  • Social sciences.

Academic English is a language course for those who want to enroll at INTO but do not have the required level of language proficiency. This is an intensive program that includes 30 hours of classes per week.

The training combines personal communication and online classes.

Pre-sessional English is a language course to improve your English level for admission to INTO preparatory programs. It can last 4, 6, 8, 12 or 16 weeks.

Where can I go after the preparatory programs?

Completion of the Newton A level Programme course provides the opportunity to enrol in a bachelor's degree in the following areas:

  • with the course "Science and Medicine" - medicine, dentistry, psychology, law;
  • from the course "Engineering and Mathematics" - computer science, engineering, physics;
  • from the course "Economics, Business and Actuarial Sciences" - accounting, business and economics.

Completion of the International Foundation course provides the opportunity to enroll in a bachelor's degree program in the following areas:

  • Business, economics, sociology and culture – more than 50 bachelor's degrees in specialized fields.
  • Humanities and law – more than 40 specialized degrees.
  • Mathematics and actuarial sciences – over 40 specialized degrees.
  • Pharmaceutical, Health and Life Sciences – over 35 dedicated degrees.
  • Physics and engineering – more than 50 specialized degrees.

Completion of the International Year One course allows entry to a bachelor's degree in the following specialties:

  • Business and Economics Management – ​​more than 9 bachelor's degrees.
  • International Development and Media – 6+ Bachelor's degrees.
  • Psychology – 4 bachelor's degrees.

Completion of the International Graduate Diploma course will allow you to enter postgraduate studies in the following specialties:

  • Business – more than 10 master's degrees.
  • Economics – more than 5 master's degrees.
  • Social – more than 20 master's degrees.

Admission requirements

On the Newton A level Programme course:

  • Minimum age: 16 years.
  • Year 11 Leaving Certificate. Achieve the equivalent of at least 6 GCSEs at grade 6/B or above.
  • English: for 5 terms – IELTS 5.5 (minimum 5.5 in writing, no less than 5.0 in other skills), for 6 terms – IELTS 5.0 (minimum 5.0 in all skills). For medicine, dentistry or veterinary science – IELTS 6.0.

For the International Foundation course:

  • Minimum age: 16 years.
  • High school diploma of 12th grade or equivalent.
  • English: for 3 semesters – IELTS 5.0 (minimum 5.0 in writing and 4.5 in other skills), for 4 semesters – IELTS 4.5 (minimum 4.5 in reading and writing, 4.0 in all other skills).

For the International Year One course

  • Minimum age: 17 years.
  • A Level, proof of completion of first year of university study or equivalent.
  • For the course "Psychology and International Development" 3 semesters - IELTS 6.0 (minimum 6.0 on all points);
  • For the course "Business and Economics Management" 3 semesters - IELTS 5.5 (minimum 5.5 in writing), 4 semesters - IELTS 5.0 (minimum 5.0 in reading and writing).

For the International Graduate Diploma course

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
  • English: for 3 semesters – IELTS 5.5 (minimum 5.5 in all skills), for 4 semesters – IELTS 5.0 (minimum 5.0 in all skills).

For the Academic English course: from IELTS 3.0, minimum age – 16 years.

For the Pre-sessional English course:

  • for 4 weeks – must have the IELTS level required for admission to the courses;
  • for 6 weeks – there may be a lack of 0.5 points in one of the skills;
  • for 8 weeks – there may be a lack of 0.5 points in one of the skills or in general;
  • for 12 weeks – there may be a lack of 1 point overall or in one of the skills;
  • for 16 weeks – there may be a lack of 1 point overall and 1.5 points in one of the skills.

Minimum age: 17 years.

Accommodation

INTO Center offers several accommodation options for its students:

1. In a student residence. It is located right in the Center, offers a bedroom with a private bathroom, you can also use a shared kitchen and living room, Wi-Fi. Students can buy a meal plan in the university canteen.

2. In a host family. A private room is provided in one of the selected families of the city.
