The College offers a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences program that provides students with advanced education, knowledge, skills, and practical experience through classroom and laboratory instruction and summer internships.
This program prepares graduates for careers in developing new therapies and approaches to improve human health and well-being. Graduates may also choose to pursue graduate and professional education in master's and doctoral programs, as well as in medical school, dentistry, pharmacy, and many other fields.Humber College
provides a biotechnology laboratory for instruction that is equipped with the latest technology and equipment and is designed to maximize teaching and learning. The Life Sciences Laboratory is equipped with a variety of tools and resources such as anatomical models, embedded and external human specimens, and other aids to enhance student understanding of anatomical relationships and physiological principles.
Graduates of this program are equipped to work in the biomedical sciences in the private or public sector or are well prepared for advanced study in health-related fields including medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, pharmacy, graduate school, and more. The knowledge and skills learned in this program can be implemented in a multitude of settings, and the depth and breadth of these settings is ever-increasing.
