Seneca College also offers a promising Honors Bachelor of Healthcare Management program, which will allow you to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to work in this sector. This is an undergraduate program for 8 semesters or 4 years of study. It is available online. Students can study synchronously (according to the scheduled class time with the teacher) or asynchronously (without a schedule).
This is a modern interdisciplinary program focused on preparing students for work in real modern conditions. They learn to make evidence-based decisions, provide patient-centered care, implement programs for health promotion, disease prevention, financial sustainability and strategic management.
During the training, students listen to a wide range of courses:
- introduction to Canadian business;
- business statistics;
- an introduction to the Canadian health care system;
- introduction to health informatics;
- strategy Development;
- Management Accounting;
- marketing;
- introduction to commercial law;
- microeconomics;
- Interpersonal communications;
- health and development of society;
- macroeconomics;
- business finance, etc.
Students participate in experiential learning from year one, and also take specialized courses in health informatics, intercultural and global health, program planning, health law, mediation, patient safety, research, innovation, management, and leadership.
A mandatory part of the training is an internship for at least 420 working hours.
